Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church is once again offering an opportunity to apply for the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church Educational Scholarship.  Following is an outline for applying:

• Letters will be handed out to eligible high school seniors and be on hand at the church.

• Eligible high school seniors are those who have previously joined Lehman-Idetown UMC.

• Completed resumes/applications will be sent to Lehman-Idetown UMC Scholarship Committee PO Box 12 Lehman PA 18627.

• Applications due back by May 1 each year.  The committee will review the applications and decide on the scholarship recipients.  All applicants should attend Graduate Sunday (the first Sunday in June), and the winner will be announced during that service.

• It will be reviewed annually whether or not to open that year’s scholarship eligibility to college students who had applied in previous years.

The Scholarship Fund was established in 2010, after the long standing Nuss Education Fund ended.  So far we have awarded scholarship money to 29 students, beginning in 1999.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
